Chiron Machinery, a leading manufacturer of high-speed precision machining centres, held the groundbreaking ceremony for its new production facility in Taicang. The significance of this project for Chiron and also for Taicang was highlighted by the participation of Chiron-Group Managing Director Dr. Achim Degner and the Taicang Party Secretary, Mr. Shen Ming. Chirons' new plant, comprising more than 15,000 sqm production, admin and technical areas, is scheduled to start operations in Autumn 2018. With numerous sustainable features, e.g. geothermal energy for all HVAC purposes, and substantially reduced operation costs, this plant will further optimize the competitive edge of Chiron in the Chinese market.
