The new Wirtgen Facility in Taicang was opened, combined with a large scale exhibition of Wirtgen Machines and Equipment, in an event attracting more than 1000 customers, dealers and suppliers. At this time the facility had already mastered its first challenge: With all HVAC and cooling capacity supplied by a highly efficient geothermal/heatpump system, the inside temperatures stayed within the specified temperature range, in spite of the hottest summer in Taicang in recorded history. Parallel design&engineering works started for the similar Wirtgen Project in Southern China, located in Foshan, again entrusted to BMP.
